Hearing a business name with donuts in it always gets a smile. And what could be better than that?
Hi! I’m Lisa Michelle, the designer behind donuts & curlicues.
I look for the lighthearted parts in our world and my designs reflect that: playful, gleeful and boldly-colored. I don’t shy away from using a hidden cheekiness but only if it’s kind. My inspiration draws from my home in the Pacific Northwest, my original embroidery designs, quirky word combinations, and an admiration of typography.
A life-long donut lover, my free time is spent learning new embroidery stitches, playing taiko drums, and trying to keep a lid on the mayhem of life with my husband, tween and our ball-obsessed dog.
My favorite donut is an early morning French cruller.
